OLD habits die hard.
That's the case for Metta World Peace as he was whistled for a technical foul, this time as a coach for FilAm Sports USA in the 2019 Chooks-to-Go NBTC League National Finals on Thursday.
The NBA champion was called for a T for entering the court at the 3:31 mark of the second quarter as he complained on non-calls against his side.
World Peace could only shake his head in disbelief, as the case all his career.
FilAm Sports USA went on to fall to San Beda, 98-91, bowing out in the Fantastic Eight with World Peace sitting on the sidelines for the first time in the tourney.
Still, it was a proud moment for World Peace, who had the chance to coach his Fil-Am son Jeron for the first time in the Philippines.
"It means a lot and my son is so proud to be Filipino," he said. "He’s got a scholarship offer from St. John’s and Stanford, and all these schools and he really wants to play for the Philippine national team. He’d love to play in the Philippine Olympic team one day."
