North Jersey Kapatiran takes chip at 2015 ABCNA Turkey Ball tourney

MARLTON, N.J. — North Jersey Kapatiran is a basketball group with members mostly hailing from the State of New Jersey who promotes skills learning, team play, and competitiveness at many levels in the sports of basketball and volleyball.

Recently, North Jersey Kapatiran won in a very interesting fashion.

The team competed in a regional tournament by ABCNA Turkey Ball Tournament (Asian Basketball Championships in North America) in the 14 and under division at the Blue Barn in Marlton, N.J. on Nov. 20.

They played and defeated the following teams: NY Flightz (34-23), NJ Triple Threat (54-17), DC DMV Elite (38-43), and championship versus JSAG (46-50).

At the championship game, North Jersey was down by as much as 11 points in the first half till the number was cut down to one by the end of the first half.

The game continued to be very tight until the last three minutes when North Jersey started to pull themselves away and finally win by 4 points.

North Jersey Kapatiran delegates play for NABA, PIBNA and other inter-city basketball leagues.

Basketball clinics are available for kids from 7 years old to 16 years old.
