California-raised Jalen Green suddenly registered on the Philippine basketball radar when he and other Filipino-American high-school players flew in from the US to play in the National Basketball Training Center League in Manila.
Green, a 16-year-old shooting guard who already stands 6-foot-6, left an impression on the local scene with his otherworldly athleticism and raw talent at his age.
He, along with visiting coach Bong Ulep, was a recent guest on ANC’s “Gametime,” where Green talked about the physical nature of Philippine basketball, the possibility of playing for Gilas Pilipinas, and why he idolizes Kevin Durant.
